Tuition Waivers –
Students may be eligible for one of the following:
a. Full Time + First Time = Free Tuition (FT3) – First-time college students can qualify for free tuition for two academic years, regardless of income.
b. California Promise Grant – Eligible California residents can have their tuition waived for the entire school year.
Grants –
This form of financial aid doesn’t have to be paid back (unless you withdraw from any or all your classes). Grant awards and amounts are determined by the student’s enrollment status and financial aid need. Award amounts are based on an academic year.
a. Pell Grant – Provides up to $6,495
b. Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant – Provides up to $600
c. Cal Grant – Provides up to $1,648
d. Student Success Completion Grant – Provides up to $4,000
e. Chafee Grant – Provides up to $5,000
Federal Work-Study –
This program provides up to $5,000 for eligible students to work in certain part-time jobs on campus.
Scholarships –
These are awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement or extracurricular activities, and/or financial need.
Loans –
This type of financial aid enables you to borrow money that must be paid back with interest.
After applying to the College and submitting a FAFSA or CADAA, students can check their financial aid status by logging in to InSite and selecting the Financial Aid tile.
